Everything’s Better with Bacon

It all starts with the bacon lattice...

Assembly of the all-important bacon lattice...

A concept wholly embraced by the creators of a wildly popular ‘massive torpedo-shaped amalgamation of two pounds of bacon woven through and around two pounds of sausage and slathered in barbecue sauce‘ …or as it’s more familiarly known, the “Bacon Explosion

Perhaps an evening in by way of Prathers is in order -but as Penguina said about going back for more at Yat’s-  this is probably better done with a large group so I don’t attempt to eat it all at once by myself.  That could be ill-advised.

Yat’s where it’s at

I had a craving for an oyster po’ boy so that of course gave me the perfect excuse to check out Yat’s (24th & Utah). Which is at the back of a neighborhood bar called Jack’s. Very tasty fried oysters – not greasy, not fishy, totally juicy and crispy. You can get them plain or “dressed” with lettuce, tomato, pickles and mayo. Mmm, soooo good! Especially with a little hot sauce. Everyone should go here – the bar is great too. You order at the Yat’s window, then sit down in the bar, which means Roxy got to sit with me. They have all sorts of other stuff that I’m going to go back and try – but hopefully with a large group so I don’t attempt to eat it all at once by myself.

Hello world!
